When Did You Discover You Loved to Write?
As I write this, the date is Friday, August 28, 2020, and I also published this piece on that date, but you may not read this for days, weeks, or even years after.
Whenever you do read this, please send me a message and tell me your writing story.
When did you discover you loved to write?
I would like to know.
Tell me about that experience.
How old were you?
What were you doing?
What were you writing?
Is your writing life as rewarding as you dreamed it might be in the period when you first began?
I started in childhood.
I was eight when I decided I wanted to write professionally.
I have since served as the Editor-in-Chief of a newspaper, I have won awards, I have two novels published and my first nonfiction on the way.
I still love to write, as much today as I did in my childhood.
I love fiction.
I love the way my characters come alive and take over the story.
But nonfiction is important to me.
I read more nonfiction than fiction, maybe ten times more nonfiction than fiction, and I am anxious to put my first nonfiction work out into the marketplace.
That’s my story in a nutshell, but I want to learn about yours.
I’d love to hear from you.
